SHIPPING COSTS FOR PUPPIES
As of June 2005, this is the breakdown of the approximate shipping and related costs to ship a puppy by air.
The approximate airfare cost is around $170.00 plus an approximate tax of $10.00. With Pet Air there is an additional fee of $16 to deliver the air bill. This brings the total airfair cost to approximately $196.00 (This is flying into a major airport in the continental U.S.A., If flying into an obscure airport, costs will be more.
The cost of a shipping crate and the supplies to go in it is $60.00. There is a vet fee of $28 for the health certificate. I will put in 180 round trip miles to the vet and airport. I drive a suburban ( lots of room for hauling puppies, but terrible gas mileage) and so the cost of my gas is $45.00.
At this time, total shipping costs are running approximately $329.00.
